dialup splash driving me NUTS!!!!
as discussed in other threads, dialup takes from 20 mins to 20 hrs for me to connect. which is fine as long as it does so in the background.
but it doesn't. every single redial the splash screen pops up -- even when i have a video going in "full screen" mode. how do i fix this????
assumed it was controlled by the 4 dialing options under [dialup icon]>>status>>general>>properties>>options, but i unchecked ALL of them, and...bupkis! still get the splash screen w every effin' redial!!
i don't necessarily want to set my video players (VLC/WMP) to "always on top" b/c that blocks me from quick switches to other windows. but once i'm IN said "on top", i don't need other apps (i.e. the dialer) hijacking control.
seems to me no other app breaks in to fullscreen. just the damn dialer.

Most Windows notifications will "break" full screen.
Having said that, I haven't had dial-up since my Win98 days. All of the solutions that I am finding, relate to those getting the popup when not using dial-up. As you are actually trying to connect, none of those options will work for you.
You might try an actual support forum, such as tech support forum (TSF), tech support guy (TSG), or even the microsoft forums.
